| The Recreational program is based
on the Australian National Levels and Gym-Star Programs. This
allows gymnasts to develop their gymnastics skills in an encouraging,
non-competitive environment. For the higher-level gymnasts in
the Recreational Program, there are Club and Gym-Star competitions
if they wish to participate. The gymnasts start at one hour per
week and can develop to a maximum of five hours per week.
Karli Addison is the General Gymanstics Manager and co-ordinates the recreational program. The program
includes over 450 participating gymnasts. Classes are offered
to MLC students and external students.

a gymnast has the potential to move into the Competitive Program,
they will be recommended to the Squad Program Manager.
