Presentation Night

 

The MLC Gymnastics Club recognises the achievements of the gymnasts throughout the year at the Annual Presentation Night held at the College. Awards for outstanding achievement are presented to individual gymnasts and every gymnast receives a Competitors Pennant for representing MLC.

.The following awards are presented:

GYMNAST OF THE YEAR

    • Excellent achievement in competition results for the year.
    • A role model who shows dedication, excellent attendance and attitude in training.
    • In all divisions, there can be both an elite and national gymnast awarded.

PRINCIPAL'S AWARD

    • “For Outstanding Dedication and Achievement”.
    • Shows dedication to the MLC Gymnastics Club.
    • An MLC Gymnastics Club member for a number of years.
    • High level of achievement eg. State Team member.

SQUAD COACHES' AWARDS

    • These are awarded to gymnasts in each squad every year.

SQUAD PENNANTS

    • All competitive gymnasts receive a pennant as recognition of their contribution to the team throughout the year.

DIRECTOR'S COACHING AWARD

    • Awarded to a coach working in the MLC Program who has made an outstanding contribution to the gymnasts' development throughout the year, and shows commitment, dedication and support of Club events.

DIRECTOR'S JUNIOR COACHING AWARD

    • Awarded to a junior coach working in the MLC Program who has made an outstanding contribution to the gymnasts' development throughout the year, and shows commitment, dedication and support of Club events.

MEDALLION CLUB

    • Introduced in 2000, medallions (gold, silver, bronze) are awarded to MLC squad gymnasts who have achieved a specific level of representation.
      • Gold Medallions - National Representatives
      • Silver Medallions - State Representatives
      • Bronze Medallions - Club Representatives, above level 7 standard upon retirement.

HALL OF FAME


PARENT BOOSTER CLUB AWARD

    • In 2003 the Parent Booster Committee initiated the Parent Booster Club Award. This award is to be an ongoing commitment of the Parent Booster Club. This award will be presented on Presentation night each year.

      The award is based on the following criteria: -

      • Participation at the gym over a number of years
      • Enthusiasm
      • Demonstrates effort to continuously improve
      • Has Competitive Spirit
      • A role model for younger gymnasts
      • Shows respect for all coaches and fellow gymnasts
      • Demonstrates good sportsmanship at all times

    Coaching staff nominates eligible gymnasts from the competitive squads and then determines the recipient of the award.
