Following the recent Australian Championships in Perth the World Championships Squad and Commonwealth Games team was announced by Gymnastics Australia.

Georgia Wheeler has been selected a the reserve for the Commonwealth Games team to compete in Dehli in October. Georgia is in her first year as a Senior and one of the youngest team members to be selected. Only 18 months ago she was still developing her basic skills for International Level 10 competition. Georgia's competition program now boast D dismounts on every event (an E on Bars). She has a wealth of new skills to build over the next 12 - 18 months to add into her competition program, with the challenge being to add these new skills to gain experience whilst maintaining competition consistency. Georgia has also been selected as a member of the World Championships Squad. The Squad will arrive at the AIS on the 12th of September for a final week of training prior to the final selection trial at the AIS on September 17 & 18th. The World Championships are being held in Rotterdam from 13 to 24th October. Information about World Championships can be found here.
