Georgia Wheeler represents Australia against Japan November 28th

Georgia Wheeler represented Australia tonight in the dual meet against Japan in Canberra at the AIS Stadium.img_0767

This is the first competition where Georgia has been part of a team event and she performed outstandingly. As a new Junior to the team she was 3rd up on Vault and did a great Handspring pike that over rotated to a few large steps. She was 1st competitor up on bars and hit her bars routine without the extra swing she has been doing after the Tkatchev. The routine still had some deductions, but ones that can easily be corrected.

Georgia was 2nd up for Australia on Beam and performed a great routine until she fell on her side saulto. Her new dismount was done well. Georgia was again 2nd up  on Floor and hit the best routine she has ever done ! She hit her double arabian, double tuck and double pike......all staying inside the floor area this time !

Australia ended up 2nd to Japan and Georgia was ranked 6th All Around. Tomorrow the All Around competition will be held with Georgia competing in the All Around.

In the Junior Division of National Clubs Georgia is currently 3rd, with Amelia McGrath currently 6th All Around and 1st on Floor and 2nd on Beam.
