The MLC Gymnastics Club Parent Support Programliaises
with, and reports to, the Director of Gymnastics with the main
objective being to raise funds to help reduce the cost of participating
in the sport of gymnastics.
The objectives of the Parent Support Program are
as follows;

To support the MLC Gymnastics Club.
- To undertake fundraising activities to raise funds for the
following;
- Staff Travel
- Specific Training Equipment.
- To support all competitive gymnasts.
- To create a support system for all families within the competitive
program by means of communication and networking.
All Squad parents are required to join the
Parent Support Program and assist with activities throughout
the year in the form of volunteer hours.
Parents are required to attend parent meetings,
education sessions and nutrition sessions throughout the year.
This ensures that parents gain an understanding of the training
program, competition program and the support process required
by a competitive gymnast.
The aims of the Parent Support Program are to: Undertake fundraising
activities in the to raise funds for the following:
The funds in this program are to be managed by
the PBC, with monthly reports to the Director, and an Annual Audit
report to the Director of Physical Education and Sport. Funds
raised through the PBC contribute towards Staff and student travel
and will not be allocated into Club general funds. There may be
a need to raise funds for a particular equipment item that may
not be used / required by the General Gymnastics Community at
the Club.
It is important to understand that the role
of the Parent Support Club is to support the entire Club, and
this is a requirement of all competitive squad parents.
