| The MLC Gymnastics
Club is an important part of Methodist Ladies’ College in
Kew, Melbourne. The Club is affiliated with Gymnastics Victoria
and offers Women’s Artistic Gymnastics to girls aged five
and above. All members are registered with Gymnastics Australia.
MLC's training venue is exceptional, offering
the latest in safety and high-tech equipment combined with a very
high level of expert coaching. The Gymnastics Program operates
six days a week.
It offers classes to both MLC and non MLC students (external)
with over 700 members.
The Club caters for Women's Artistic Gymnastics
(WAG), Sport Aerobics, Dance, Kinder Gym and Cheerleading. The
WAG program caters for gymnasts from school-age beginners, in
the introductory recreational program, up to the international
elite gymnasts vying for national team selection. The Kinder Gym
program caters for both boys and girls aged 2 to 5 years. A strong
developmental program has been established for all recreational
and junior competitive squads. MLC also caters for gymnasts competing
in the National stream Level 1-10 program, as well as the International
stream (elite) program, with a significant number of gymnasts
representing Victoria over the past ten years. Fees are determined
according to the number of hours spent training and are paid on
a term basis. Fees are subsidised for MLC students. |
